Todd Kerns Recovers From Eye Surgery, Replaced In Slash’s Band By Great White Member

July 26, 2010

Todd Kerns is currently recovering from eye surgery. Because of the surgery he is unable to continue touring with Slash and has been replaced by former Great White member Tony Montana. In a short statement Slash said, “for our upcoming Asia/Aus tour bassist Tony Montana will be filling in for Todd Dammit who is recovering from eye surgery.”

At ToddKerns.com the website administator posted, “This is just to give everyone an update on Todd’s condition. As we all know from Todd’s blog, he underwent surgery for a retinal detachment of his right eye on July 17th. He wants everyone to know that he is recuperating well, but will still be out of commission for a couple more weeks.

Due to the lengthy recovery time for Todd to be 100% again, he will not be completing the Asia/Australia leg of the Slash Tour and will not be playing any Sin City Sinners shows during this time frame. This is an unfortunate must as we all know Todd likes to keep busy.

He will not be communicating much as well. We all know that with any eye injury, looking at a computer screen is not fun. So we all wish him the best of luck and hope for a speedy recovery.”
