Tora Tora release video for new track “Son of a Prodigal Son”
Memphis, Tennessee, USA rockers Tora Tora have released a video for their new song “Son of a Prodigal Son” from their new studio album Bastards of Beale, which will be released tomorrow via Frontiers Music Srl.
Sleaze Roxx recently interviewed Tora Tora guitarist Keith Douglas who advised of the meaning behind the title for the group’s new album: “Bastards of Beale is referring to Beale Street. I am not sure if you’re familiar with that. It’s where all the old blues clubs are at [in Memphis, Tennessee, USA]. It’s where all the guys from the Pacific Delta used to come up. It’s where all the blues playing, the debauchery, bars and all that kind of stuff. It’s also when we were young where we cut our teeth playing gigs there at the clubs. We were always kind of the outcasts, just kind of the loud rock n’ rollers on the street so we just figured that was a fitting title.”
In terms of his favorite tracks off Bastards of Beale, Douglas opined: “Ummm. Gosh, I have a lot of favourite tracks on there. One is “Silence The Sirens” which is our current single that is out right now. Just because it’s a little different for us. It’s kind of got a different vibe. Gosh, we got a lot of great songs. There’s a song called “Son of a Prodigal Son” which is going to be the single that’s released along with the album release and we shot a video for that song a couple of weeks ago. It’s going to be really, really cool.”
