July 10, 2011

German hard rockers Torpedohead have completed recordings for their second full-length album, the follow-up to 2009’s ‘Lovesick Avenue’. The new album, recorded at Woodhouse Studios with producer Siggi Bemm, is due for release later this year — the band has posted a studio diary that can be viewed below.

Since Torpedohead hit the stage the first time in 2008, the band featuring singer and guitarist Sven, drummer Zasch and bassist Hardy, has been giging relentless in Germany and other European countries — supporting international rock acts such as the legendary New York Dolls, Peter Pan Speedrock, The Adicts, Prima Donna or Vains of Jenna among others.

March 2009 saw the release of Torpedohead’s debut album ‘Lovesick Avenue’ in co-production with the international audio company Beyerdynamic. Since its release the album has received very good reviews in the press and several webzines. In April 2010 Torpedohead visited the famous Woodhouse Studios in Hagen, Germany to record an 5 track EP with producer Siggi Bemm (Kreator, Lacuna Coil) called ‘Let’s Go For A Ride’… and soon afterwards jumping on a tour with Vains of Jenna.
