Tuff’s first vinyl release in North America
Glam rockers, Tuff, will issue a limited edition 12″ vinyl album in November 2015 titled Decadation through their own RLS Records.
Decadation kicks off with tracks that were recorded in the spring of 1988 at the legendary Sound City Studios in Van Nuys California. These are the first ever recordings of the classic line-up and were produced by Jesse Harms (Sammy Hagar, David Lee Roth band). The second side of the release was recorded exactly one year later at the Sunset Sound Factory in Hollywood and mixed at Amigo Studios in North Hollywood with producer Warren Croyle at the helm. This is reportedly the first time the band has had any music available on vinyl in North America. While most label’s vinyl products are labeled sides A and B or 1 and 2, Decadation is detailed with side 1988 and side 1989.
Sleaze Roxx recently reviewed Tuff‘s The Glam Years and stated: “If you are looking for some songs that will take you back to the glam years of the Sunset Strip, look no further than Tuff‘s The Glam Years, which will definitely provide the retro trip back to that era…. The Glam Years is really just a fun album which songs definitely feel like they originated in the mid to late ’80s.” Sleaze Roxx concluded in its review that: “Overall, The Glam Years will never win album of the year for 2015 but it certainly is a fun trip down memory lane — and at the end of the day, that is most likely what [Stevie] Rachelle, the driving force behind Tuff, had in mind — and it should be a must own for any Tuff diehard.”
