Australian heavy metal rockers Tyrant have announced that they will be playing the final shows of their 36 year history later in 2019.

The following message was posted on Tyrant‘s Facebook page earlier today:

TYRANT ANNIVERSARY!

Yes folks, our anniversary from when we formed back in 1983 has slipped by and we clock up 36 years!

Over the time we have released 8 products, starting off with our original # 1 cassette – Never Too Loud followed by the CD’s – Freaks Of Nature, Thunder Down Under, Live Bootleg, Save The Devil, Save The Devil: Special Edition, Never Too Loud (25th Anniversary Edition 2 CD) and our latest, Thunder & Steel!

We’ve played countless shows over that time, sharing the stage with many awesome bands – Tim ‘Ripper’ Owens, Rose Tattoo, Boss, Bengal Tigers, The Radiators, Statez, Shy Thunder, Assassin, Tough Luxury, Virgin Soldiers, Vices, Dungeon, Black Label, Nobody’s Fools, Bronx, Lightning Rock, Lady Crimson Gape, Hammerhead, Rogue Sharks, Roadkill, Truckshow, Solar Thorn, Lacerta, The Roobs, Mephistopheles, Beertallica, Taberah, Battlecat, Random Order, The Wizard, Dracula, Crash Kennedy among many, many more!

As you can imagine, during that time the nucleus of the band has been – Andy Zarins, Robert Zarins, Neil Wilson and Grant Wallace – with many players coming and going over 3 decades!

The list of players who’ve help create our legacy include: Dale Walton (RIP), Jurgen Ortmann, Dave McDonnell, Andy Hatton, Brett Collidge, Jason Smith, Nathan Sproule, Ziggy Wilson, James Shelverton, James Basser, Justin Everett, Mick Adkins, Sam Adkins, Brett Trafford and Adrian ‘Shred’ Scott.

The current line up is: Andy Zarins, Adrian Scott, Justin Everett, Sam Adkins and Neil Wilson and the band will be playing shows, later in 2019 – which will be final shows for the band!

TYRANT will return to Sydney (the bands’ second home) for their last ever appearance, in November on the weekend of 8th/9th at the ‘Steel Assassins 2019′ Metal festival @ The Bridge hotel!”
