Vandenberg’s ‘Heading For A Storm’ Remastered With Bonus Live Tracks

August 22, 2013

Vandenberg’s 1983 album ‘Heading For A Storm’ has been remastered by Rock Candy Records. Formed by guitarist Adrian Vandenberg, the band had a minor hit with the power ballad “Burning Heart”, but it would be Vandenberg’s later work with Whitesnake that got him worldwide attention.

Less confrontational than their debut album, ‘Heading For A Storm’ showcased a more mature Vandenberg, one with increasingly sophisticated songs (all written by Adrian Vandenberg himself) and far broader scope. The album may not have eclipsed sales of the debut in the USA, where record company politics hampered progress, but in Europe the record gained healthy traction. With cover art painted by Adrian, whose guitar solos also continued to impress, the album is now regarded as an essential cornerstone of the band’s legacy.

The Special Deluxe Collector’s Edition of ‘Heading For A Storm’ features fully remastered sound shaped from 24 BIT digital technology, a twelve page full color booklet, 3,500 word essay, enhanced artwork, photos, new interview with Adrian Vandenberg and the live bonus tracks “Ready For You”, “Lost In A City” and “Too Late”.

The remastered album can be purchased now at www.rockcandyrecords.com.
