Drummer Frankie Banali is back where he belongs behind the drum kit for Quiet Riot. The group also consisting of singer Jizzy Pearl, guitarist Alex Grossi and bassist Chuck Wright was scheduled to play the Whisky A Go-Go in West Hollywood, California, USA last night (on October 26, 2019) with Banali back on drums.
For the last six months or so, Banali had missed a number of Quiet Riot gigs but only recently publicly revealed in the last week that he had been diagnosed and battling stage four pancreatic cancer since April 17, 2019.
Earlier this week, Banali was interviewed by LA Weekly and stated the following about his touring plans:
“The plan is to continue treatments based on a schedule that won’t interfere with me returning to playing live dates. I will be able to fly to dates again around December of this year.”
“I will play the Quiet Riot Whisky A Go Go date this Saturday, October 26, and I plan to resume playing all Quiet Riot dates for 2020.”
