As part of a partnership with the Professional Bull Riders, Warrant recorded a cover of Merle Haggard‘s “I Think I’ll Just Stay Here And Drink” song, which was a #1 hit back in 1980. The hair metal rockers ended up performing the song at PBR St. Louis in St. Louis, Missouri, USA on February 25, 2017.

A Billboard article earlier this month stated in part as follows: “Warrant, the L.A. glam metal band of “Cherry Pie” and “Heaven” fame, have formed a new partnership with the Professional Bull Riders that includes a remake of the classic Merle Haggard song, “I Think I’ll Just Stay Here and Drink” as the organization’s new “party anthem (below). The venture will include a new video, concerts and band appearances at various PBR events. The song will also appear on Warrant‘s next album Louder Harder Faster (Frontiers Records) due out in April.”
