Vince Neil announces to Iowa crowd that his “voice is gone” and leaves during 14th song of his set
Questions have resurfaced on whether Mötley Crüe frontman Vince Neil will be able to handle the rigours of the upcoming The Stadium Tour with Def Leppard, Poison and Joan Jett & The Blackhearts next summer as the singer decided to cut his solo performance short due to losing his voice at the Boone Iowa River Valley Festival in Boone, Iowa, USA on May 29, 2021.

During the 14th song of his set, Neil started singing the verses to “Girls, Girls, Girls” before stating to the crowd (as transcribed by Sleaze Roxx): “Hey guys — I’m sorry guys. It’s been a long time playing. My fucking voice is gone. We love you and hope to see you next time man. Take care”
According to setlist.fm, Neil‘s previous show prior to his recent Iowa concert on May 29, 2021 dated back to Motofiesta in Léon, Guanajuato, Mexico on October 17, 2019.
Of note, Mötley Crüe‘s setlist on opening night of their alleged “final” tour in Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA back on July 2, 2014 consisted of 20 songs if you don’t include the guitar solo, drum solo and “In The Beginning” interlude.
