Vince Neil to compete in next instalment of NBC’s ‘Celebrity Apprentice’

Mötley Crüe frontman Vince Neil will be competing in the next instalment of NBC’s Celebrity Apprentice which will be chaired and hosted by action star and former California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger in place of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.

Vince, who is the first contestant to sign on, starts the six-week filming schedule Monday in Los Angeles. NBC is expected to unveil the other cast members before the end of this week as they all arrive in Hollywood on Thursday.

Vince had to turn down a previous invitation to film “Apprentice,” as he couldn’t clear sufficient dates touring with Motley Crue, but now that the band has completed its final tour, he’s clear to film the reality-TV competition.

Vince and girlfriend Rain Hannah attended the first-anniversary performance of “Sexxy” at Westgate Las Vegas on Tuesday night. The new “Celebrity Apprentice” episodes are set for the new fall TV season starting in September.

Each contestant plays for a charity, and our hometown hard-rock hero has selected the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health in downtown Symphony Park to support his friend the late chef Kerry Simon’s Fight Multiple System Atrophy and Keep Memory Alive causes at the center.”

Poison‘s Bret Michaels and Twisted Sister‘s Dee Snider have also appeared in past seasons of Celebrity Apprentice with Michaels, while competing for the American Diabetes Association, even winning one season in 2010.
