Vince Neil’s Girlfriend “Concerned About His Health” While In Jail

February 20, 2011

Vince Neil's Girlfriend Norm Clarke of reports: Vince Neil of Motley Crue, whose biggest hit was “Dr. Feelgood,” can’t be feeling too great as he nears the halfway point of his two-week jail sentence.

“I’m extremely concerned about his health,” said Neil’s girlfriend, Alicia Jacobs, entertainment reporter for KSNV-TV, Channel 3.

He’s in jail for a June drunken driving arrest.

Jacobs said she’s worried about the 50-year-old rocker because he’s lost his appetite and isn’t sleeping because of kitchen duty that requires a 3:30 a.m. wakeup.

“He’s not eating much other than peanut butter, Doritos and stuff like that,” Jacobs said. “He had a baloney sandwich one day. It’s not optimal conditions.”

He volunteered for jail duties in hopes it will reduce his sentence. As a result, he’s serving breakfast to his 4,000 fellow inmates every morning starting at 4 a.m., lunch at 10 a.m. and dinner at 4 p.m., in addition to mopping and vacuuming floors and cleaning showers.

He’s had visits from Jacobs and a chaplain, read a book titled “Red Dragon” and been recognized by many of the inmates.

“He said everybody’s been kind,” said Jacobs, adding that a jailer who processes the incarcerated told her Neil “was the most humble celebrity he’s seen and has very kind eyes. He said he judges people by their eyes.”

After his jail term ends, he faces two weeks of house arrest.

Motley Crue’s last top 40 hit, “Home Sweet Home,” in early 1992, will probably never sound sweeter to Neil.
