Glam influenced visual rock artist Vitne has released the first single from his upcoming full-length album ‘Neon’, currently set for a late 2013 release.
The album’s first single, “Destroyer”, featuring Julian Angel on lead guitar, is now available for purchase on iTunes and Spotify and can be heard in the official music video below. More information about Vitne can be found at www.vitne.net.
Vitne’s passion for exploring the curious dimensions of the musical world began to smolder when he was first captivated by classic rock and electrifying songs by Michael Jackson and truly caught fire when he learned to play the flute. He enthusiastically sharpened his technique and was fascinated by the timeless artistry of Jethro Tull and other flute visionaries that pushed the boundaries of rock. Eventually, he picked up bass and guitar and was inspired to write his own melodies and lyrics by the moody, expressive albums of dark rockers like Alice Cooper and the alternative band Crumb. After forming several well-received indie glam groups throughout the world, he emerged as Vitne in 2013 (Norwegian for “witness”) to announce that he has found a new, dramatic voice.
Vitne is fueled by his finely-tuned ability to craft songs that tell intensely-visual stories of heartbreak, regret, love, joy and self-discovery. He also regularly collaborates on stage and in the studio with celebrated lead guitarist Julian Angel (Beautiful Beast). Vitne’s debut album, ‘Neon’, was mixed by Matthew Sean Reynolds, mastered by Kevin Bartley (Billy Idol, Motorhead) and will be released in the fall of 2013.
