The stages are closed, the bags are packed, and our metal heaven of Wacken, Germany is back to being a tiny town until next year’s festival. But for this week, we’ll bring you a taste of Wacken Open Air – the heaviest metal on planet rock! along with some of the best heavy metal….the beer, the sausage, the….mud! Yes if you want to go to WOA, you better bring a raincoat, a helmet and boots cause it always rains at least once. This year it rained twice but the music was so great we all stayed. Tune in this Friday for a recap of the 20th Anniversary of Wacken Open Air, with music from this year’s performing bands and official live recordings from the Axel Rudi Pell band and Doro! You’ll also hear from great bands like Hammerfall, D-A-D, Grand Magus, In Flames, Cathedral, Heaven & Hell, Amon Amarth and so much more.
