Warrant Vocalist Robert Mason To Guest On All Hail Hair This Friday

December 9, 2010

This Friday night (December 10th) at 8PM EST, All Hail Hair will welcome Robert Mason, the lead vocalist of Warrant! Hosted by Bob Carroll and Francis, the guys will speak to Mason about his history in the music world and now his time with Warrant. Also joining the guys will be special co-host, Diopriest Radio’s Alex Alvarez. The show always welcomes listener participation, so call in at (347) 202-0832.

Warrant first broke onto the music scene with the 1989 album “Dirty, Rotten, Flithy, Stinking Rich” an album that spawned three hits, “Down Boys”, “Sometimes She Cries” and the 80’s top power ballad “Heaven”. They followed that album up with another strongly performing album, “Cherry Pie” which contained the title track, their biggest selling hit. Also included on that album were the hits “I Saw Red” and Bob’s favorite Warrant song “Uncle Tom’s Cabin”. The early 90’s brought a change to the music scene and with it, the music of bands like Warrant was affected, yet the band still produced another incredible effort in the 1992 release “Dog Eat Dog”. Two more albums were recorded after this, 1995’s “Ultraphonic” and 1996’s “Belly To Belly” before the band splintered apart. The band re-grouped in 2000 and released the album “Under the Influence” in 2001. That would be the last album with vocalist Jani Lane as he left in 2004 to pursue solo projects. Lane was replaced by Jamie St. James, lead vocalist of the very underrated “Black N Blue”, from 2004-2008, releasing “Born Again”.

In 2008 Warrant re-grouped the line-up from its most popular days, to include Jani Lane and set out on tour. That reunion was not to last long as Lane once again departed from Warrant. The band went on a search for a new vocalist and decided on former Lynch Mob front man Robert Mason to lead Warrant into 2009 and beyond. Sounding as strong as ever, the band is currently touring and rumor has it, putting together a brand new album. We will catch up the listeners on all of the news of Warrant, the touring schedule and what to expect from Warrant in 2011.
