Where is Frankie Banali? — Quiet Riot perform another show without their long-time drummer

Quiet Riot continue to perform concerts this year without their long-time drummer and band leader Frankie Banali and without seemingly any explanation why.

This seems to have started at the Wildflower Arts & Music Festival in Richardson, Texas, USA on May 17, 2019 when the regular band line-up of James Durbin (lead vocals), Alex Grossi (guitar) and Chuck Wright (bass) played alongside replacement drummer Johnny Kelly (Type O Negative, Danzig, Kill Devil Hill).

A couple of months later, Banali was missing in action again at Heavy Montreal in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on July 27, 2019.

Decibel Geek TV recently released a video from Chris Deutsch for Front Row Concert Photos of Quiet Riot performing their classic song “Metal Health (Bang Your Head)” at the Buffalo Rose in Golden, Colorado, USA on August 24, 2019. Once again, Banali was not in the line-up with Kelly taking his place alongside Durbin, Grossi and Wright.

Banali will turn 68 years old on November 14th while Wright is 59, Grossi is 43, Durbin is 30 and Kelly is 51.

Quiet Riot will be releasing a new studio album titled Hollywood Cowboys via Frontiers Music Srl on November 8, 2019.
