Wicked‘s Bio on their website indicates:
“Wicked began in 2012 in New York when two brothers, Chad Michael “The Queen of Hearts” and Danny Doll “The Ace of Spades,” set out to capture the steamy emotion and the explosive power of 1970’s Rock N Roll. Scotty V followed suit as the “Jack of Diamonds” and the band began to cultivate their songwriting. They combined the bombast and larger-than-life energy of KISS, the alien seduction of Ziggy Stardust, and the gutsy machismo and vocal harmonies of Starz. From these elements and under the influence of intense heat and pressure, Wicked crystallized into the pure essence of Rock N Roll. Wicked found their wildcard with “The Joker,” GG (Gunnar), and the boys immediately slammed their heavy, leather heels onto the stage.
The Wicked boys, with 100,000 watts of personality, exude the attitudes of Las Vegas, Hollywood and NYC. Wicked electrified thousands of fans at the 2013 Rocklahoma Music Festival with Guns N’ Roses, Mötorhead, Cheap Trick and many more. They have also brought their high-voltage live show to cities all over the East Coast and Mid-West, including New York City, playing with acts such as Spread Eagle, Survivor, Crashdïet and others. 2013 also saw the exclusive and limited release of the band’s first physical release “Origins” on New York-based independent label RARA Records.
In 2014, Wicked made a much-anticipated return to M3 and Rocklahoma festivals alongside the likes of Twisted Sister and Skid Row amid touring the US. Supported by the release of a special-edition vinyl record called “Life Alive” via RARA Records. The band was going against the grain of the music industry we know today, the record was recorded 101% live to give their fans hope that Rock N Roll can once again be raw, exciting and authentic to the core of what live Rock N Roll started as.
The band dug in taking their high energy theatrical brand of the golden-age hard rock around the nation. Paying their dues on the road and putting in the hard work that landed them in the box offices of College Concert Series and Casino residences like the Turning Stone Casino Resort doing the unthinkable; playing live All-Original music for over 3 hours!
Hard work, dedication, and humility are values that the band lives by mixed with their confidence, attitude, and unstoppable nature that has produced a catalog of over 100+ written and recorded memorable, melodic and unforgettable Rock N Roll classic hits!
2018 has seen the band flourish and grow, weaving into the legendary Casablanca history being asked to attend as guests at half-a-dozen KISS conventions as well as play in support of Starz, Frehley’s Comet, and like the classic stories of rock’s golden-age… the band took no mercy on a wall-to-wall Brooklyn crowd that was taken by force as Wicked blew the roof off in support of Angel; only to find an offer to release their 1st full length world-wide release on 7 Crown Sony Orchard Records. “Rock N Roll” received rave reviews and has only started to burn its mark in Rock N Roll history!
In a day and age of great arena acts disappearing, Wicked is poised and ready to fill the glamorous heels of our influences and become the Rock N Roll Superheroes our world needs today. The band’s fun high-energy songs and captivating live performances will continue to unite fans under the flag of “101% Rock & Roll!” The Kings of Glam have just begun!”
