Wicked Sins Ready To Return With Series Of Videos
November 14, 2014
Wicked Sins have returned to record a series of videos and are working on a documentary showcasing the trials and tribulations of a glam rock band.
After many years of sharing stages with Warrant, L.A. Guns, Skid Row, Sebastian Bach, Vince Neil, Jackyl and a tour with Hookers N Blow, Wicked Sins went into the recording studio to record their entire catalog, including re-recording the material from their demo, for their 2010 self-titled debut CD that Sleaze Roxx said, “Simply put this is hard rock influenced by ’80s hair bands — complete with songs about sex and love… depending on the speed of the track.”
The world seemed ready to support a band that had no shame in being called “Hair Band” or “Glam Band” after many years of the music business giving band like Wicked Sins the cold shoulder. They were set to light the world on fire when their drummer and founding member Donnie Troy Skiff was murdered in 2009. After that tragedy, the band only performed at a benefit for Skiff and one last show opening for Slaughter. Wicked Sins had never officially went away but the band continued to work recording songs for Versailles Records. They recorded songs for tribute albums for bands including Whitesnake, Motley Crue, Dio, Judas Priest, Journey and Deep Purple.
Time apparently does heal all wounds and Wicked Sins have reformed and are finally ready to reintroduced themselves to the world. The line-up featuring Dyer Knight, Van Michael Kinser, Ian Roberts and Johnny Zabo are recording a music video for the song “We’ll Survive” this weekend in Luzerne, Pennsylvania. This band is serious and are taking everything to a whole new level. Wicked Sins have hired a director, Wilfredo Aqueron, and have a vision for their video. The video isn’t just live footage but a story about a young man trying to break into the music business as a “Hair Band” artist and all of the label people that turn him down because it isn’t the in thing. Ultimately our hero finds his place in the music business and stays true to who he is without compromise.
This video is a massive undertaking from a band without major label money backing them. The band plans on recording two more videos and recording behind the scenes footage and a documentary showing the struggle and risk being taken by a band that dares to be true to who they are rather than bending to the trend in music.
Wicked Sins have an open invitation to anyone wanting to be in the music video. They are recording the live footage Sunday November 16, 2014 at Gator’s Pub and Eatery in Luzerne, Pennsylvania. Anyone wanting to be in the video should arrive at 12:30pm. Wicked Sins will record the video and then ultimately do their first live concert for the audience in attendance!
