On March 10th, 2023, American hard rock band Winger released a new single, a new video, a new website and announced the release of a new album. The official video for their latest single, “Proud Desperado,” from their upcoming seventh studio album entitled Seven can be seen on their website or below:

In celebration of their 35 years as a touring and recording act, the multi-platinum group announce the release of their new album, Seven by Frontiers Music Srl, on May 5th. The 12-track album was produced by Kip Winger and recorded in Nashville. You can pre-order the CD/Vinyl/Digital recording here: Winger first rose to fame in 1988 and the band’s musical prowess has remained strong over the last 35 years, with each album showcasing their evolving sound and skill. Through the years, Winger has persevered and continued to create music that speaks to their fans. They have always been a band that prioritizes musicianship and their love for creating music above all else. This has led to a loyal fan base that appreciates their talent and passion.

“Proud Desperado” is a testament to Winger‘s continued musical excellence. The track features heavy, driving rhythms, impressive vocals, and the intricate guitar work we expect from the band. The new single showcases the band’s technical skill and musical maturity and the video features a dark, smoky performance coupled with interesting, destructive story telling.

The band consists entirely of virtuosos, including Kip Winger, who is a Grammynominated musician ancomposer and who cut his teeth in Alice Cooper‘s band. Reb Beach has played in Dokken, Night Ranger, Alice Cooper, and is a current member of Whitesnake. Paul Taylor has played with everyone from Aldo Nova to the Tom Keifer Band and most recently worked with Mötley Crüe‘s Mick Mars, cowriting Mick‘s solo albumDrummer Rod Morgenstein spent 20 years as a professor teaching percussion at Berklee College of Musicand guitarist John Roth has been a member of Black Oak Arkansas, Giant, and is a current member of Mickey ThomasStarship. With this upcoming album, Winger has proven that their music is more impressive than ever. Seven highlights the band’s musical prowess and continued evolution over the last 35 years.

Seven is now available for preorder on CD/LP/Digital. Additionally, the album’s first single, “Proud Desperado,” is now available for streaming/download on all digital music platforms.

Winger are one of the only bands formed during the late ’80s that still features all original members — Kip Winger, Reb Beach, Rod Morgenstein, and Paul Taylor. Guitarist John Roth was added in 1992. To support the new album, Winger will begin extensive touring beginning with a UK tour with Steel Panther in May, followed by a U.S tour with the Tom Keifer Band in June. Additionally, the band will do a number of headline shows throughout the summer. VIPs are available for all shows at this location.
